Local Storage

We store your dark mode preference (localStorage.theme) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Third-Party Fonts

We load fonts from Google Fonts. When you visit the Site, your browser makes a request to Google's servers to download font files. Google may log this request, including your IP address. See Google Fonts Privacy FAQ for details.

Cookies

We use cookies only through Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors and track site usage over time. These are first-party cookies set by the Google Analytics script. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

You can also disable cookies entirely through your browser settings. The Site will continue to function normally without cookies.

Third-Party Platform Integrations

We use third-party platform APIs to manage and share our original recipe content. These integrations operate server-side only and do not collect, access, or store any visitor or user data. They include:

  • Notion API: We use Notion as an internal content management tool to organize and draft our recipes. The Notion API reads recipe data from our own private workspace to publish content on the Site. No visitor data is sent to Notion. See Notion's Privacy Policy.
  • Pinterest API: When we publish a new recipe, we may automatically create a pin on our own Pinterest board containing the recipe's image, title, description, and a link back to the recipe on the Site. No user data is sent to Pinterest through this process. Only our own original content (recipe photos and descriptions) is shared. See Pinterest's Privacy Policy.
  • Instagram API: We may automatically publish our recipe photos and descriptions to our own Instagram account when new recipes are published. No user data is collected or shared through this integration. See Instagram's Privacy Policy.

These integrations are used solely to manage and share our own original content. We do not access, collect, or store any third-party user data. Visitors to the Site are not tracked by these integrations; they only operate server-side.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to the default retention policies of Google Analytics (26 months) and Cloudflare Web Analytics (6 months). We do not store any personal data on our own servers.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the browser add-on linked above
  • Clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings
  • Request information about what data we hold (though we hold no personally identifiable data)

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
